first prenatal visit in 3 days

I am currently 8 weeks 5 days first baby and I have my first prenatal visit in 3 days  I am full of emotions and nervous scared  that I won't hear a heart beat I'm so scared because we TTC for 11 months and I will hate to get bad news .... is the  ultrasound done before they talk to you about everything and go through all your medical history or it it done after they give u all that information and the physical exam ? Just wondering
