Anyone with a high thyroid?

My thyroid is 3.13 which I was told by my doctor is normal but with pregnancy they want it under 3 around 2.8. Is anyone having this issue and taking medication? I'm really bad at taking medication and I'm kind of scared because I've always had bad reactions to pills. Did anyone have this issue and not take pills but still have a healthy baby?

I'll be blunt: these are pills you NEED to take. If you don't, it could really harm (or kill) your baby. It's very common to have thyroid issues in pregnancy, & the pills-- which are just providing what your body should be making itself but isn't-- will only help you feel better. I'm hypothyroid myself & have dealt with this for years, including during this pregnancy.

Fertility doc just said I needed medicine for high thyroid level at 2.73 when they like to see it at 2.5, which is different from what y'all were told. Guess it's better safe than sorry...I just hope all these mess don't hurt the baby while they're trying to help me. (Was also given progesterone)

I had to take synthroid for the sane reason. Took it as soon as I woke up every morning. No bad reactions.

I have the opposite problem with my thyroid. It's too low, but I have to take medicine for it and I'm also someone who doesn't do well with pills. Most medications make me very sick. I've never had any problem taking these though. You might not be able to tell that it's high because hyperactive thyroid can give you more energy and it's not extremely high, but you absolutely need to take this medicine. It can cause very serious problems for your baby and for you if you don't keep your thyroid in check. And even if you have problems with taking the pills, which I don't think you will, you might not have to take them beyond your pregnancy.
