Is it time to take a break?
If so how long? I don't want to go back on an NHS waiting list.
My Hub and I have been TTC for four years now. Jan 16 I had my first MC but it pushed my Dr to refer me to fertility services. I've been taking metformin for 12 months and I'm on my fourth round of Clomid now.
I had my second MC this Jan (17)
We got the news that my mum had pre cancer cells in her breast in December 16 and she had an op to remove a milk duct and a lymph glad in Jan.
I went with her today to get the the lymph glad biopsy results and they've found true cancer cells. She's got to have an MRI to confirm before they decided on treatment options.
Last week my dad was rushed to have emergency eye surgery because he somehow managed to detach a rentia in one eye and tear the retina in another. He's spent the last 5days having to lie face down whilst he heals. He's upright today but not yet got sight in his left eye
Now my dad is 63 but he's not old. He wears a leather jacket, has long hair and plays an electric guitar. He's never ill and it's so hard to see him like this. Tomorrow he's going to get a mole looked at to see if it's pre cancerous and I'm terrified for th results.
I'm not sure how much more bad news I can take.
My job is high stress (social work) and taking more time off will just push me further behind and let down my young people further. I don't want the guilt and stress of making it worse
My hub is great most of the time but he does need to be told when it's time for a hug and that I need to not be going to bed alone right now. (I've thought for years he was on the autism spectrum as he doesn't really know what the social norm responses are to certain emotions)
Im not sure why I'm posting this or what I want out of it I just needed to talk about it. It's all getting too much. I can cope with one family crisis at a time but four is too much and I feel like I'm breaking.
