Baby won't nap!

My baby girl just turned 2 months old today and she is refusing to nap during the day unless I am holding her. I can hold her for any amount of time but as soon as I lay her down she wakes up. It doesn't matter if I lay her down when she is in a deep sleep or right before she falls asleep. I don't mind cuddling her of course but I do need to get things done around the house too lol...anyone else experiencing this and know how to break the habit??
