I think my daughter is smart for doing this but I read online maybe not?

I know this isn't a post about relationship, period, or baby but I just need to hear some opinions and I didn't wanna post it on Facebook.

My daughter loves to line up and organize things. Not just toys, absolutely anything and EVERYTHING she could get little hands on. I read it's normal but I also read it could be an early sign of autism... she's 19 M and she started lining things up at around 15 M. I think it's adorable!! I love finding random patterns around the house. But those kiddos, what have you moms experienced? Here are some pics

My nephew loves to line things up and he is 100% fine. Look up other signs of autism at that age and see if she has any other symptoms. If she doesn't then don't worry about it at all. If you think she does you can schedule an appointment with her pediatrician to ask about it.  
Honestly I wouldn't worry about it right now. If she is on the spectrum you will find out in time, but I doubt she is just from this. I love to organize everything, maybe she will just be a neat person!  I'd be happy too, she will probably like to clean and can help you around the house!!

Does she have any other signs of autism? My oldest is autistic and would line everything up. But that wasn't her only marker for it. She had issues transitioning from one activity to another. She didn't talk til she was 4. She didn't make eye contact. As a baby she didn't smile or coo literally just ate pooped and slept. Easiest baby but was so serious all the time and quiet. She is now 8 going on 9 and in general ed with no therapy and she finally tests out at her age and is doing great!!! Just bc she lines stuff up doesn't automatically mean she is autistic there usually is more to it then just that.

Well she also gets startled pretty easily sometimes. She freaks out if my phone rings all of the sudden. She cries as if someone just scared her to death!.... she's also extremely picky. For example, When she's eating soup and she finds something that's a different texture from the soup like chicken or potatoes she'll spit them out. She refuses to eat anything that feels "weird" or different

Is that all she does? Try not to read so much in to it. Kids do this don't be fast to call the doc and let them tell you she has something that she doesn't realy have you know ..just look up other signs and see if she is doing them ..my son is adhd and spd it took me a few years to believe it .she is still young

My mom said I used to do this when I was little. I have aspergers but it doesn't affect me too badly. My parents & fiancé are the only ones that know I have it.

My niece did this and she is non verbal autistic. I'm sorry I don't know the correct terminology used. 
My son also does this and he is not on the spectrum and has hit every milestone at almost 3.

My son has been doing this since he turned one. It started with food, crackers, cookies, anything really. Then it progressed to toys, shoes, random items in the house. He'd just make a bunch of lines everywhere. I asked his doctor about it (his speech was delayed too) and we got him checked out by a neurologist to rule out autistic spectrum disorder. He's perfectly fine (not that there's anything wrong with autism) but he still lines everything up, he's 2.5 years old now.

I mean I wish my kids did that. It could be OCD but I have also read about the autism thing. It may be to early to tell but you can schedule an appointment to test for it. How is she with other things? Does she freak out when you take her to the store with a lot of people or noises?
