momma drama

Dorothy
So my husband I have planned a natural birth with most of the labor being done at home with our doula before going to the hospital.
Despite my greatest efforts- my MIL has come up to stay with us since she lives 14 hrs away and wants to be here to meet her first granddaughter. It was explained to her on multiple occasions that close to my due date - we would need the house to ourselves to create the environment we wanted and she could come back AFTER we went to the hospital. Today I'm 39 weeks and she has caused so much drama saying that we are kicking her out, making it clear she is unwelcome, and generally making my husband so upset- as she is his only family member still alive. She has also tried to make it seem like my husband and I have "bad communication" with each other because she is lashing out and trying to put a wedge between us.
Why do people not understand that pregnant women don't need to be stressed out and that it's NOT ABOUT THEM!
Anyone else have a similar experience or their own inlaw drama??
