Purple crying vs colic?

Twice this week starting at 10pm, my poor baby girl loses it. She cries constantly, but this is like an inconsolable cry. Even better, I get to listen to my husband tell me what a great baby his son was who slept all night and rarely cried. 😩

Don't know if I'm asking advice or venting, but I am one sad/worried/upset Mama. 😔😔😔

My son (5 weeks old) does this nightly anywhere between 7 pm - 9:30 pm and it lasts for around an hour each day.  He's been doing it for weeks. So, you're not alone. Ped says it's normal (though it's horrible to deal with).  I hope it passes soon. I get anxiety in the evening in anticipation of its impending arrival. :-(

My daughter is hysterical most nights for anywhere from one to five hours. Her pediatrician recommended simethicone drops and me cutting chocolate and Italian spices since they are the most common gas producing foods in breast fed babies. That has helped us. Good luck! You are not alone.

I can't offer advice, but I can say I experience the same thing.. although it's both our first child.. my soon to be ex husband said to me the other day when our daughter was being inconsolable "she's a bad baby, there's something wrong with her" which of course makes me as a mother feel like I've done something wrong... as mothers we tend to harbor much of the guilt whenever something is "wrong" with our children even if it's out of our control. We must remember these fazes won't last forever 💟

My baby girl screams uncontrollably.shee 5 weeks now.over the past week she's been sleeping like this (she was awake in this pic,I don't allow her to sleep in my bed)  so far she's been sleeping from 1030pm to 4 am then 5am to 9am. She has reflux and is lactose intolerant. Maybe try sleeping or laying baby on tummy elevated.that calms her when she's screaming.

We switched to feeding him 4oz bottles of pumped milk at night and it stopped instantly. Also we give him levisen drops

exactly how mypoor baby girl has been the pat 2 days. except hers is during the day.. makes it difficult for me to do anything at all but i'm glad it's not at night. she has both colic and reflux :( belly rubs calm her for the most part. she hasn't been taking naps during the day at all

I wish my daughter had these spells in the evening.. instead, the last time she wakes at night is when she starts up. So anywhere from 5:30-7am when all I want to do is go back to sleep! 😑
Thankfully this is all temporary. We're seeing a chiro too and he thinks he can help with her reflux which may help with the witching hour too.. if it gets too bad, maybe that's something you could try too.

Check out the happiest baby on the block. There is even a DVD on Netflix if you don't want to read the book. Our son doesn't have colic but the strategies really do help when he gets upset.
