In need of reassurance
MOMS! I need to hear that how my baby acts is normal. I feel like I am constantly searching google for answers but can't find any to satisfy my mind.
Daughter is 6 weeks old and has always only been happy if she's on the breast. Otherwise she cries. She is starting to have moments of contentedness but they don't last too long.
She takes FOREVER to eat, never pulls off on her own unless she falls asleep. Always roots around which is why I always offer the breast.
Brought her to the pediatrician and asked about it, she had no real answer other than feed on demand. Called lactation at my local hospital and they attribute it to growth spurt (she must live in "growth spurt" mode). She's gaining weight just fine and having the correct amount of diapers.
She's STTN as well. Should I just be happy that the breast comforts her and stick this out? Anyone else had a baby like this and they grew out of it? I'm so worried that she will just be hell for my mom when I go back to work.
