The safest position during a car crash is in the car seat not your arms.... I can not think of a single instance where your arms would be safer in a moving vehicle.

I can't imagine a situation where you wouldn't be able to pull the vehicle off the road and come to a complete stop in the event of an emergency. It's much safer for everyone in the vehicle including the baby, no need to make a bad situation worse by increasing the danger.

You can stop the vehicle awfully quickly to perform CPR.

One day, I forgot where we were going. My mom was driving, I was in the backseat with my 2 week old son... I just so happen to look over at him and it was milk coming from his nose as he was flailing his little arms... I quickly began getting him out his car seat and yelled for my mom to pull over. Scariest situation ever!

Like what emergency? They stop breathing? Cause I may start getting them out as the car is being pulled over. But besides that the safest place is in the car seat if the car is moving.

We were one time stuck in 2 hours of traffic like dead traffic on a big highway .. little one started all out crying we tried everything to calm him in the car seat... nothing worked for 30 min then I took him out and fed him and played... was a happy camper... only time I would do it again. Never if we were all out moving but still was nervous because cars were zooming by still on the other side of highway
