smoking yay vs nay
So my father in law is an awesome man. He's sweet and kind. However he knows when to push my buttons.
He doesn't know his son well enough to understand my husband has an addictive behavior. He's struggled with weed when he was a teen. He also has a porn addiction problem. He's been clean 8 months now. Longer than we've been married ! Yay!
However; I'm mad at my FIL for saying that my husband and him would smoke cigars when we have our baby.
1st I'm very asthmatic and am unable to deal with even the slightest smell of smoke.
2nd I know my husband ! I know him better than his dad does. Even if his dad raised him. He has an "addictive personality" that we are going through counseling for.
3rd my husband doesn't need to feel that smoking is "okay". And if he did it once he can do it again type of mentality.
I can't physically be near it. I get so ill.
My father in law means well; but I blew up at him. I don't care if they get a drink celebrating! That's totally fine and great as long as he doesn't drive home drunk.
But seriously smoking ???? He knows I can't deal with it.
I blew up at him though. Haha my MIL was in favor of my side.
My husband didn't have a say. Which I feel horrible about. Should've asked him. But I didn't. :(
Now I feel like a bad wife.
