metformin and WAR ZONE period!!!
Hi everyone. I just started metformin 3 weeks ago, tapered up to 1500mg, to help my hormone levels and to prevent diabetes (my A1C is 5.8). I have always had regular periods and I haven't had any problems getting pregnant (but have had all end in mc, which is what prompted me to get testing done...here I am today).
I just started my period yesterday and HOLY CLOT-VILLE. I have never had a period so heavy and clots so large since my miscarriages. Bad cramps came along with it too. Anyone else have this happen to them when starting metformin? My period came right on time (27 day cycle) if that makes a difference.
