Telling buisness to mother or MIL ?

Recently we told MIL we are looking for a place to move closer to her house and bigger... She offered a number to her realtor . We got into our place now without help from anyone. So anyway we decided to waot until next year to move since i will be out of work with new baby a few months and keeping the extra money will help us if we have any financial problems . Well today she calls him asking if we called her realtor, then saying why not what are you waitingfor . he tells her "I" think it would be better to wait and save the money.. So i take the phone to bettwr explain our decision and she says . well your not going to spend it right. Do u need me to hold the money ? And i kind of got offended. We never asked for her help or input but it se ems she's trying to put her hand in our pot . i shouldnt have to explain myself of our family decisions and then to get a response like we aren't responsible really baffles me. What should i do ongoing ?
