Sky high AMH level
My OB diagnosed me with PCOS in January. She put me on metformin and clomid. Since then I've been ovulating (2 cycles). I went and saw a reproductive endocrinologist, who based on my history said she was certain I do not have PCOS. She ran some tests. All came back normal so far until today. My AMH level was 9.3ng/mL. I read a few research articles, one of which shows an average level of 5.3ng/mL in women with PCOS compared to an average level of 1.4ng/mL in healthy controls. My level was above even the highest quartile on their scale 😫 I have been crying my eyes out. I felt like I accepted my diagnosis and then the RE messed it all up but convincing me I was fine! Now that she has taken me off metformin and clomid, it's definitely not going to happen for me. 😰
