has your little one went off milk?

My 8 month old drank 4oz of milk yesterday in total, he had about 2oz in his porridge in the morning and last night, so let's say about 8oz in total, I have no idea what was up with him, he was eating food no problem but just not wanting any milk, has your little ones done this?

Is he testing? Sometimes that can effect what they want

Maybe skip the solids for few hours and see if he'll be hungry enough to take the milk? He may be too full from solids to drink milk. Mine was and my pediatrician said to give him milk first, then offer solids shortly afterwards. It worked for us.

My girl did this for about a week around 8m...(she's 9m now) I was in a legit panic that she would get dehydrated and literally crying everyday over it. I would be lucky if I got 12oz in a 24 hour period in....this lasted about 5/6 days then everything went back to normal. Not quite sure what was going on....didn't notice any significant teething pain or anything. But nonetheless it was scary! LoL I did offer clear pedialyte throughout the day to help hydration! But she wasn't too nuts about having the bottle in her mouth at all.

Milk should be your little one's main source of nutrition until he's 1. I would keep trying to give him milk and contact his pediatrician asap.

My son was weird with drinking his milk for like a month. Started at 7 months and he stopped drinking a good amount. I just kept  working the bottle with him to drink and usually got him to drink most of it. One night he went to bed without any of his night time bottle which worried me but it only happened once. It passed though and he's back to drinking his milk like normal. If he's going on like this though hardly drinking anything, I would call his pediatrician just to be safe.
