9 week fussiness

So my son turned 9 weeks yesterday.. I feel like he's become the most clingy fussy baby. He can be sound asleep I set him down and he wakes in 5 min. I set him down to play etc he cries, I put him down to make food he cries... essentially I must hold him all the time and he's still fussy. The pediatrician said this is the height of fussiness, but I'm wondering if anyone else is going through this?! I want a light at the end of the tunnel
