light brown discharge and slight cramps on sides

I'm 5-6 weeks today and I just started having a tiny bit of brownish discharge when I wipe. It's barely noticeable but I'm kinda worried as it's my first pregnancy. I'm also having light cramps on the sides of my stomach. Right now I have my feet elavated because my mom told me that's what I should do. I have a doctors appointment at 2:15 tomorrow. So I'm trying to stay calm and not stress. But any thoughts?
