considering IVF. guidance, advice, tips??

My husband and I have been TTC since 9/2015 for our second child (we had our first child with no complications or issues).  We started seeing a fertility specialist 6/2016 and got pregnant after an HSG procedure in 9/2016, however, it was ectopic (which resulted in removal of my left tube).  I'm 35 and my husband is 36...we've done 2 rounds of IUI with no success so we've started discussing IVF.  Financially we can do it but I'm nervous about the strain on my body, relationship, etc. does anyone have tips/advice for us in regards to going down this path?? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
