pet allergy?

My son was born 6 were early and is now 9 weeks old. We have a pitt mix that has a lot of dandruff and sheds a lot. We've noticed recently that my son gets a lot of eye boogers and when he woke up this morning, both eyes were crusted shut. My hubby said he noticed that last night too. Could my son be developing an allergy to my dog?

I'd talk to his pediatrician, but the more likely scenario is that he has a blocked tear duct.  My son did - cleared up on its own after a few days, we just kept wiping his eyes gently at her recommendation. 
Allergies don't usually develop for a while yet, their immune system goes through a lot of changes in the fittest few months.

Could also be getting sick. My daughter was also 6 week early and we have a Pom and she got sick one day her eyes had so much discharge it also wasn't opening and running nose. She got over it and is all good now. See if he's sick first
