POSITIVE! What now??

Question

So I tested positive (did 6 tests just in case hahaha!!!) a week before AF was due. I still have to wait until the weekend to technically "miss a period", do I wait until after then to book a Doctors appointment? Or will they see me regardless?

Will I then just have to wait for a 3 month scan to confirm it all? (i'm in the uk) Can I ask for an earlier scan?

I'm so nervous! Haha

Unless you've had previous losses or problems they probably won't scan unless you have bleeding or pain. The nhs is very strict about giving scans. Congratulations x

Hi also in the U.K. Firstly congratulations! You can go see the doctor straight away and let them know you had a positive test if you like, they really don't do very much though, just confirm dates based on your last period and tell you to book in for midwife appt for between 8 and 10 weeks.  It's the midwife who will then arrange everything going forward. As has been commented you won't get an early scan on the NHS unless there is any concern - bleeding or severe cramps but you could book a private one from 7 weeks if you wanted too. If you haven't already be sure to starting taking folic acid or pregnancy vitamins which contain them and best wishes x
