deodorant???

Question

So I tend to rotate deodorants every time I have to get a new tube.  I've been using the "clinical strength" ones the past few times.  But I'm tempted to try out one of the "all natural" ones. I've read good things about the brand Native. Any reviews/suggestions?

I make my own. Equal parts baking soda, tapioca starch (or arrowroot starch), and coconut oil. Add a few drops of lavender essential oil and mix. I make a small amount (1/2tsp. each) and adjust ratios as needed. Best stuff I've ever used.

I got native! It's great in the winter, but in the summer it didn't really cut it. As long as you don't apply it immediately after you shave (wait a few hours) the rash didn't happen. Mine was coconut scented. 😊

I currently use Mitchum and it's been great for me. I actually tried Native and I personally didn't like it. My underarms broke out in painful itchy rash like bumps. I read it's normal to have a "detox" period but I could not push past that pain. I tossed it and when back to my regular stuff. I'd love to find an all natural deodorant that works and doesn't cause pain...

Definitely look into switching to a natural deodorant without aluminum. I have tried LOTS, but really the like Schmidt brand natural deodorant. The one with baking soda in it works the best, but my skin tends to get irritated from the baking soda if I use it for too long. It doesn't bother my husband though. I love the Tea Tree for Sensitive Skin!

If you're used to clinical strength, you may find you need to reapply natural deodorants more often. You also will sweat. Sweat is your body's natural heat regulation , sonatural deoderants do no prevent it.
