how long do ur babies sleep during the night ? and how much sleep are u mom's getting at night ?

So my 8 week little girl won't sleep at night sometimes she naps for 2-3 hours but no more then that. She does sleep more during the day so I suppose I can try and change her sleeping patterns when she is older

Also I am formula feeding her and she eats every three hour usually on the dot

Any tips !?? Please

My son is two months old today and since he was 3 weeks he's a really good sleeper, mostly doing a 6 to 7 hours stretch at night (starting around 8-8h30pm) and something he make a 8 hours stretch and tonight he slept for 9h30 straight!!!!

I'm EBF, and during the day he's really awake and play (smile, coos) a lot! 2 naps during the day but not long nap, maybe 1 to 2 hours. And breastfeed every 3 hours during the day.

I had to get my lo adjusted to day/night, only change a dirty diaper, n do dream feeds at 10:30pm n 2:00am in order for my almost 3months old to sleep through the night. She will sleep at most 7hrs at night now

Mine will be three months on Sunday and they sleep through the night (6-7 hours). We had to spend some time getting day/night adjusted because they had them confused for a little.  I EBF so it may be a little different.

Here's some things to try.

1) Young babies until about 3-4 months will only sleep for one long stretch a day. It is important to wake them up to feed every three hours during the day so they will take the long stretch at night. Hours count from the start of the previous feeding to the start of the next feeding.

2) They are too young to sleep train but try a routine. We do eat/play/sleep during the day and eat/play/bath/vitamins/sleep at night. They always go to bed between 10pm and 12am and usually wake up between 5am and 7am. I feed them at this point and they go back to sleep for 2-3 hours.

3) Stimulation during the day.  I bring the girls to moms groups where there are other babies since it provides them some good awake play time during the day.
