pushing in wrong spot? please read I'm scared

Pushing in the wrong spot? What does that mean? I'm confused

I gave birth almost 2.5 years ago and they had to use a vacuum to help my daughter out as it took over 3 hours and no progress pushing. I kept pushing and pushing and I guess I was pushing wrong?

Well in about 2 months I'm due. I don't want this to happen again. What can I do? I didnt even know pushing wrong was a thing.

I was all natural no epidural or anything.

My sister was told to push with her stomach muscles and push down like she was pushing down to her butt. It was hard because she couldn't really feel her butt from the epidural but maybe think you're pushing down into the bed? I've also heard a mirror can be really helpful so you can see it if you're pushing correctly because you'll either start to see the head or not

I'm not sure because I'm a ftm and haven't given birth yet, but I was told I'll have to "push like I'm taking a huge poop" 😂 lol not sure if that helps but it's all I got. Good luck!!

It took me 15 minutes to figure out what the nurse meant by pushing with my stomach muscles. It took me 5 minutes to push him out once I finally got it! You basically push down with your belly muscles- kind of like you're pooping, but a little higher up. I had no idea so I tried different ways and the nurse told me when I was doing it right. If you aren't sure, you can ask your OB to "show" you at an appointment by tightening the muscles and she can tell you if you're doing it right

My nurse told me to push down like I'm constipated and toward my butt. Soon as I started pushing correctly she came on out. The worse part for me is pushing and holding  your breath for 10 of the longest seconds for 3x in a row.
