when to announce?

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow, will it be kinda dumb for me to announce hat I'm pregnant so soon? I heard most should wait until 12 weeks but I'm just so excited and it's getting really hard to keep it a secret.

If you feel like announcing right now, then do what your heart desires. It's your decision and your experience maybe different from everyone else's. I'm personally deciding to wait only because if something were to happen I wouldn't have to explain it to everyone. But immediate family would be the first to know for sure because if something where to happen is have their support.

I personally told my sister and my fiance. Right away (5 weeks). I made my sister and fiance swear not to tell anyone. And then at 12 weeks i told the whole family. Then at 18 weeks i announced on my social media. At 22 weeks i revealed the gender. But its all up to you. There are no rules

I'm waiting to tell my family until 13 weeks. But you should do it when you want to. I had to announce a miscarriage and I don't want to have to again. I like mourning on my own, but I'm a private person in general. Do what you're comfortable with and what will make you happy.

With my first I announced right away, then I had a missed miscarriage and had to re announce to everyone (not nice) so, with the second, I waited until I heard the heartbeat, and the third I think I did the same, and this 4th time around, I'll probably  also wait to hear the heartbeat to tell (except BFFS and family of course)
