Alcohol at Baby Shower???
My MIL and 2 SILs are throwing me a baby shower this Saturday. They've been dying to throw this shower since we told them we were pregnant, which is very sweet. They've been keeping me out of the loop in planning it. I actually had to ask my sister to text me a pic of the invitation so that I knew what time it was at.
Today they told me they're intentionally keeping their plans a secret but that they have some drinking games planned and laughed and said "Sorry Kelsey. We'll be sure to have some strawberry lemonade for you."
Now frankly, I don't mind people drinking around me when I can't. It is what it is. I laughed along with them when they said that. But now, a few hours later having thought about it, I'm wondering if I should be a little concerned. It's a baby shower. I didn't realize that people did drinking games at baby showers. Also I've got women from church and children invited to this thing.
Do you think I should speak up and ask what these alcohol planned events are specifically to see if we need to censor? Or do you think it's really not going to be a big deal and I can just let it go?
