can I get rid of this lump?;2 years post Cartledge piercing

So 2 years ago I got a double helix piercing in the spot but stupid me got an infected because I put a bunch of crap in my hair not realizing It can cause it to get infected. AnyWho the top piercing got infected but I was able to keep the bottom one few months later once the infection was completely cleared and everything was back to normal I went ahead and tryed to get it re-pierced again but got it pierced on the ticker part of the Cartledge, I want to be looking really bad so I want up just taking it out. My ear is had this lump ever sense I have been keeping my Cartlidge bar in I only took it out today because I have an MRI tomorrow and I know that I still have the lump. I'm wondering if I completely let it close up well my ear ever look normal again. Also sorry if anything is worded incorrectly I'm using Siri to type
