Anyone NOT buying a lot of maternity clothing?

Question

So I own a shit ton of clothes. Like closets and dressers full. I cringe thinking of spending any money on clothing I won't wear that often.

The only maternity stuff I've purchased are some leggings. A lot of my tops are oversized and flowy and I'm hoping those work out for when I'm larger. I also really hope my maxi dresses and maxi skirts can be used.

I'm just nervous because DH and I are saving money and we can't really afford a bunch of expensive maternity stuff. Anyone else gonna try to convert some of their wardrobe to work?

Pre preggo im a size 10 so I know I'll have to buy some shorts cause those won't work but im hoping that's all.

Also I tried on some maternity tops one day and they made me look gigantic! Lol

I did that with my last pregnancy - only bought a few bottoms and some tanks for layering and it worked out. Keep in mind any of the maxi dresses you wear, you probably won't be able to wear post pregnancy :) mine got all deformed from the belly

I bought a couple pairs of pants, other than that I just wear my normal clothes. Of course some don't fit but the stretchy ones do and maxi dresses are awesome. 
I just make do with what I have already. The only big maternity purchase I made was an outfit for my maternity pictures.

With my first, I made it a game to see how much I could get for a set budget of 500$ over the entire pregnancy.  I kicked A$$!
Unfortunately this time around the seasons don't line up so I won't be able to use a ton of it.  My office is casual so jeans work all the time so I will buy preggo jeans since they are so comfy but most everything else I get will be watching sales on belly friendly  tops and Motherhoods website...they run some ridiculous sales and I recently managed to get three dressier tips, a dress and two pair of jeans for 110$. Also watch eBay. Got a new with tags dress for 8$ last week.

I'm 9weeks 2 days , last week I was at Burlington and found 3pairs of maternity skinny jeans for all 15dollars and less so I figured why not lol. I'm tiny but I know my own jeans will not fit me in time.

I just bought 2 pairs of jeans with the elastic waist from Walmart and layer with tanks. No since in buying things I can't use later.

With my first child I didn't buy any maternity clothes. I used a pony tail holder to loop around my button on my jeans so they would stretch. My shirts I just stretched them over my belly. 😊

I've been selling some clothes I don't love on Poshmark and Mercari and using that money to start buying maternity clothes 😁

I'm just buying things here and there, and always from the sale items. I need jeans and work pants though so I'm hoping to find some this weekend at Old Navy. I'm also getting rid of clothes I no longer wear, but then again, I'm always storing or giving clothes away since we live in a small apartment and need as much space as possible.

I'm buying tops that I'll wear when I'm further along, and also tops that can also be used while breastfeeding.

You can try thrift shops and even Facebook. They have the marketplace on there now, and there's also a "maternity clothes exchange" group that's very active.

I'm having twins and it's my first pregnancy, and at 10 weeks none of my pants fit, so I'm gonna need some new ones! I'm big on thrifting and I found a website called Swap and bought some lounge pants and like 2 pairs of Gap pants, and a Bella band for $4. They're older in style but I don't care. I noticed Motherhood has crazy sales, and I'm in local FB mom groups so I hope to pick up some clothing moms are giving away or selling. I browsed Target's clearance today and ordered a few things but we'll see if I like them. I just need a few pairs of pants!!

I've bought a few things (shorts and capris and a swim top) at consignment sales (Just Between Friends and another local one) for super cheap. I think I bought 12 items for less than $50 and everything is in excellent shape!
