what do I do??

I found out I'm 4 weeks. But when I told the dad he outright refused to believe it. He lives 2 hours away and the last time we saw each other was.... well 4 weeks ago basically. He takes Coumadin, and I guess his doctor has told him he can't have kids.... so when I found out I was pregnant and told him he completely freaked out, saying it's not his, I'm lying, I must of got drunk and slept with someone. I know this is his baby because I haven't been with anyone else for over 6 months. He has a son but claims why is because he hadn't taken his Coumadin in over 2 months. I'm so scared to do this on my own. I don't want child support from him or anything, I just want him to be in their life. What do I do? If he doesn't want to be there, how do I do this on my own? A few things. He doesn't seem to want to be in the baby's life or even try to find out if it is his. If I were you I would get a DNA test done when the baby comes. If it is in fact his and he still doesn't step up, you really should go for the child support. It will help you out. I'm sure it will be hard, but you can do it alone. If it is his and he steps up to help co-parent, then maybe you don't go for child support.

You should meet with a counselor of some kind and really go over your options. You need to understand the legal issues involved with proving paternity, especially with a man who is completely uncooperative. As you decide what to do next, you'll have the best chance of success and happiness if you can clearly see what your reality could look like. Who will be your support network? How will you manage life as a single mom?

I did strongly consider ending my pregnancy with my first child. I was young and barely know the father and couldn't see how it work out. We ended up keeping her and i can't imagine life without her.

My cousin got pregnant around the same time and she ended the pregnancy before 10 weeks. It was a decision that allowed her to finish all her school, start a career, and make a life she loves. She's now married with two children.

The only thing Coumadin does is affect the International Normalization Ratio (INR) which is basically how quickly your blood clots compared to that of someone not on Coumadin.... It should not have anything to do with reproductive stuff... I was on it for years and eventually switched to an injectable but thats beside the point. You can still get pregnant or get someone pregnant while on it, it's not birth control. 😒 I would be having a serious talk with him, research anticoagulants and how they work and explain that it is very possible to get pregnant with either parent on it, encourage him to come to the first Drs appointment and ask the doctor for himself. If he still dosent believe then weigh your options for raising the baby without him and cut ties with him.
