pubic area itchy!?

The external area of my vagina, I would say the pubic area, is really itchy, this started about a week ago. I'm 8 weeks pregnant, I have no idea if this comes with being pregnant? I was thinking it could just be irritation from a scented soup I had been using. Nothing but one area Is itchy, I checked to see if there was anything there, and there's not. I stopped using that soap and switched back to my regular soap. Any advice helps! Yes I'll be asking my doctor about it on my next visit.
