Period while ... pregnant?

Hey so I get my 7 day long period each month as usual BUT I'm so hungry all the time and I'm gaining weight. From all the eating lol so how did you know you were pregnant if you still got your period? Some women say they got regular periods all pregnancy long ..

It is not normal to get periods during pregnancy. What your period is is your uterus shedding it's inner lining that i makes each month to prepare for a fetus. If you're still getting a period while pregnant then your body would be ridding itself of the required housing for a child, and the pregnancy wouldn't last. Now you can have BLEEDING or SPOTTING during pregnancy, but never a period. It is possible to have a short menstural period at the very beginning of conception because fertilizing an egg is not an overnight process, your body doesn't have enough time to adjust, but it's very unlikely
