how to tell my parents?

my boyfriend and I are getting married a couple months after our 1 year anniversary! We're 19.. yes I realize we're young but we've known each since elementary school and we just click. We're planning to move in with each other near where I go to college which is two hours away from our hometown. I'm scared to tell my parents I'm moving in with him AND getting married soon. I know I should be feeling super happy and I am! I'm just terrified about how they'll feel about it. My mom got married as soon as she graduated high school and it was a failed marriage so I know she's gonna bring that up. Any opinions on what I should say?

Idk maybe buy them cake. I think if someone bought me cake, I'd feel a lot better about whatever they are saying. My brother decided to take my parents out to dinner when he told them his girlfriend was pregnant. He figured they'd be less likely to kill him in public so there's that option.

I got married at 19, also my high school sweet heart. My parents weren't excited but once the nerves calmed down they became excited. Especially my mom with helping planning a wedding.

We were only together a year when he proposed, and 2 years when we got married.

We've now been married for 4 years with a 4 month old.

It was the best decision I made marrying so young. It's a struggle, but I love that my husband and I have grown up together and with each other.

We were nervous too, but maybe your boyfriend should as your parents for their ok to ask you to  marry him?  That's what my husband did and it seemed to help, because it was a respect thing with my dad.
