promise ring

I really want my boyfriend to get me a promise ring. We r both about to go to college. We will be 8 hours away from each other. He will be dorming with his twin brother so that makes me feel better. I just really am scared about being that far apart. I wish I could fast forward to living together.  We talk about our future a lot and his family is like my family and so is my family to him. It's a great relationship. As of now we go to two different high schools but live like 15 min away from each other. Idk if this is just me but I feel I would be less stressed about what's to come if I have a promise ring witch is like a step down from an engagement ring.(at least to me)I'm one who needs to know the plan and what's going to happen and so for now college is my worst enemy 😂what do y'all think?
