Question

So me and hubby have decided on a name for our little dude..the only name with both like!!  however it's on one of my good friends list as her only baby name if she has another boy.. she's also just mentioned she doesn't think she'll have any more kids.. should I just use it or should I chat to her??

I'd just use it to be honest there are so many people in the world that are going to have the same name I don't get why people get annoyed or upset if someone uses a name they like.. just because they like it doesn't mean they own it x 😊

I'd talk to her about it because it'd honestly tick me off if my best friend used the baby name I had picked out for my kid.

I don't understand how a name can't be used by two people in the same circle. I'd think it would be fun to have a kid with the same name as a friend.

You probably should talk to her though, because people are so weird about naming rights.

If she's a close friend I'd talk to her about it.  It might be upsetting for her to find out you used the name she was going to use, especially if she doesn't have any others picked out.  Plus if the name is very sentimental to her, like a family name or a name of someone she lost and would like to honor, it would be best to let her use it instead.
