to burp or not to burp?

My baby girl is 9 days old and I'm exclusively breastfeeding.... I give her one boob and burp her but when I give her the second she always falls asleep afterwards 
I was waking her to burp her but then find it so hard for her to fall back asleep ... and she's cries because she's clearly tired
I've tried letting her cry it out and music but usually takes 20-30 minutes to get her to go down. So.... I've stopped burping her after the second boob. Am I a terrible mommy out of laziness? Just can't take her crying 
She usually doesn't burp anyways... seeking advice

Not all babies always need to be burped. Usually my babe eats so fast at the beginning of a feeding that i need to stop him to burp so he doesnt just spit up his meal.  Then he slows down when i switch breasts and he doesnt need to be burped that time around. Nor will he burp if i try to get him to anyways. I just let him lay on my chest at an upright incline and rub his back for 10 minutes. That 10 minutes will make sure that he doesnt spit up and if he has a burp in there it will usually work its way up within that 10 minutes.

Breastfed babies don't need as much burping as formula fed babies but you don't need to wake the baby up to burp them. I just put my daughter in my shoulder and lightly pat her back. If she needs to burp, it usually comes up without waking her up.

I do that all the time. EBF babies dont burp as much as formula fed babies. I actually asked her pediatrician this question at her last appointment and she said not to worry if I don't always burp her.

My bub barely burps. I burp after the first boob and then hold him upright in a cuddle for 10/15 minutes after the second when he is drowsy and he will drift off. Just let the milk work its way down. Breast milk is so much easier to digest so don't stress about burping again after.

I don't think it's a problem unless you notice that your baby starts spitting up excessively, or being very gassy and uncomfortable. My daughter didn't need much burping the first few weeks, but she's recently been super gassy at night, so I'm being more conscientious about it.

Our dr told us breastfeed babies usually don't need to burp as much. For me I do it halfway if I can and if he falls asleep I only do it if I feel like his latch was letting in air.

Ahhh.. I've done the same thing! As long as it's not getting stuck in her and creating colic for you I personally would leave her and not burp.

My daughter will wake up a few mins after if she needs to burp, then she goes back to sleep.

We burp him, but only because he is such a sloppy drinker and sucks in air (we can hear that); if we don't, he'll get cramps. That is the only reason. If she doesn't get cramps, I would think it's fine to let her sleep and skip the burping? ... 😊
