Umbilical cord problem?

Is this normal? Cord fell off 1 day ago & this is what is left. I already have an appointment this thursday with the doctor but wanted to see what others might have to say in the meantime. Should i be worried? Or will it need a few more days to heal?

Looks normal. As the air hits it it'll dry out and completely heal.

My son's cord fell off at 10 days I think. It was a little pussy and scabbed over but that was healed by the time he was 15 days. I saw a lactation consultant around the time it fell off and she said it looked fine and normal. My son is 33 days old now.

I think it's normal. I just applied alcohol 2-3 times a day. He didn't even notice when I did it and now he's completely healed up.

I think it looks ok. My daughter was oozing a little so they had to cauterize part of it
