How much do you spend on your kids Easter baskets?

I have two kids, a 3 1/2 year old & a 1 month old. I went to target the other day to get their Easter stuff & didn't want to just put candy in their baskets. Well when I paid the total was $261. I feel like I went a little overboard but in my defense a majority of the things were things they'll need for summer time.

I'm wondering how much do you mommas spend on your little ones?

Honestly, I think parents go way overboard with Easter baskets now. What happened to just some candy and that's it? It's not Christmas or a birthday.

For 4 kids I spent 63 dollars

It depends on what I am buying. If it is stuff they need I will spend as much as I have to and if it is fun stuff they get only $20 worth of stuff MAX.

I don't spend anything. Hear me out before you think I'm a horrible mom. My Mom and Sister go overboard EVERY holiday. My son gets an Easter basket from each of them and then a toy from his great Grandma. These baskets are loaded. I've told them to just stop or buy one thing but they always make excuses or tell me they just bought something little until I get there. So I've just stopped buying since we go to grandma's house for Easter anyway. They're slowly toning it down and getting the idea so I may buy something small this year. But I mean small, I don't think any of these holidays should be so materialistic.

I use holidays to buy things that are already needed mostly, so I don't mind spending a little bit more.
