What type of bite is this ?

My 1 year old baby girl has a bite from some kind of insect. I'm not sure what kind though, I was thinking of ant bite but we didn't go outside all day because it was raining horrible, any ideas of what kind of bite will this be ? If it gets worse by the morning I'll take her to the doctor. So far I have put alcohol in that area and ice so the swollen can go down a little.

Looks like a spider bite. Take a pen or marker and draw a circle around the redness. If it spreads past your pen outline then you need to take her immediately to the emergency room because it's an infection spreading from being bitten.

It looks like two raised little bumps in the middle. That to me would say spider. Does it seem to be bothering her?? I'd keep and eye on it and stick with your plan of Dr if it gets worse.

I had a bite like that once - urgent care said spider bite.  I'd take her in unless it goes down pretty soon.  You can try a cold compress if she's in pain. I wouldn't do benadryl cream, some bites can come back with a vengeance after you put that on.  Especially in a little one.

And it could still be anything even if she didn't seem to notice being bitten.

My body does this with mosquito bites. Spider bites will grow in size so if it's going down it could just be a reaction to a non worrisome bite

Just for future reference, I've always heard that if it looks like a target (bite in the middle, ring of white then ring of red) it's a spider bite. That's one thing my grandmother knocked into all of us kid's heads growing up if we were freaking out over a bug bite.

Looks like a bite with cellulitis. I would definitely take to the doc for antibiotics. Same thing happened to my daughter last year in the same area.

If you see anything crazy happening, go to the walk-in clinic. But it seriously doesn't look like anything crazy. Everyone on here immediately jumps to "it's cancer!" "You're dying!" This isn't always the best place to ask questions like this. It looks like a normal bug bite that will probably go down and not be an issue. Put Benadryl cream on it.
