UTI caused by strep B?

I had a urine culture at 7 weeks 4 days & it indicated that I have a UTI (no symptoms) caused by strep B virus. They are putting me on antibiotics for the UTI but from what I've read online this can be a major deal for tha newborn. It says that 25% of women carry the virus without symptoms. Similar to the chicken pox virus that's in most of us. But, I'm freaking out. There's nothing I could have done to avoid this but it feels like a gut punch when I've been trying to do everything right & now my child could die shortly after birth because of a virus I never even knew I had. Is it as serious as it seems or am I over exaggerating?
