Biking with baby!? Please help!!

My baby will be born right before summer, and summer is when I am most active - always walking/hiking/biking. I REALLY want to be able to bike this summer. Just dont know of any good and SAFE products to have my newborn ride along with me. Has anyone tried this product? I think I'd feel most comortable using this, but if any mamas know of any other good products to attach to your bike I'd love it if you shared them with me. Also, please give me experiences or opinions on riding with a newborn! Thanks!!

I love mine! I got it 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant (of course haha) so didn't get to use it much. My son is 4 and has a bike but doesn't like to go far or long yet and I looooovvveee my bike so I thought this would help me get my ride in and him still enjoy being out with me. He's a big boy and it doesn't hold me back at all and I fee it's safe for the rides I take. That all being said, baby #2 is due in June and as much as I'd love to be out on my bike this summer...... it's just not a good idea. I waited too long to have this baby to do anything to put it in jeopardy. I think once baby can sit up on their own we can look at the idea of a ride with lots of support blankets and things, but still have to just take time and make a smart decision. To be honest....... I'm not going to want to be on a bike seat eaither for a while after birth haha, I was 6 weeks pp when I started walking after my son was born. I had a stroller that the car seat clicked into and that was great! I got to get some exersice, be outside, and baby boy was safe and cozy. That might be an idea for you to do until a bike ride can be safe. Good luck mama!

I wouldn't ride with a newborn. We have a burley trailer and they make a special inserts for 6m-12m

I thought baby had to be a year to ride. And in most places has to wear a helmet.

I have one like this and haven't use it because My son was under a year when I got it and  the child had to be a year.

When i looked into these, everywhere i read says these bike trailers arent safe until baby is at least 1 year old. Yeah, it sucks.

Those are really nice but I'm not sure if they have enough back and neck support for a new born

One of my good friends LOVES to bike - but she wasn't able to take her newborn with her because nothing was made for such a small child, nothing provided the neck and head support a newborn needs.
