But the problem is, I had my first love a few years ago in my hometown. I was 17 when we started seeing each other and he was 23. He ended up leaving me after a few months because he was unsure of what he wanted.

To this day, I think of him a lot and get so sad, especially at night. There's no chance we will ever get back together and that hurts a lot (we haven't spoke for a long time) - but I have tried to move on as best I can. The pain is horrid and we broke up years ago now and I moved away to a new place... I just want to forget about him but I'm so upset. My current boyfriend is a lovely man and I adore him but I'm just so conflicted. I don't even know why I'm posting this - just want to get it off my chest and was wondering if anyone else is In a similar situation. Thanks for reading x
