Family Traveling for Birth

So I would like for my mom to be with me during labor but I have no idea how to do this. I'm in TX and she's in FL. She would only be able to stay a few days so I'd hate to have her come around the due date and no baby :/ Any ideas? Also we have other friends and family that want to visit after birth (also from FL). None would be able to do a hotel and would have to stay with us for at least a few days for financial reasons. I don't want to be hosting people soon after birth. But if I make people wait (especially since hopefully my mom will be there), my in laws are the type to guilt trip my husband and I for the rest of our lives. Wouldn't work but it's annoying. Help?
