So, to give you the picture my boyfriend is 6ft 3 and I'm 5ft 3. As you can probably tell from this he's pretty big. He was my first as I was his but we've been having sex for over a year now. 
I'm wondering is it normal to still hurt sometimes? I mean it took us a while for it to not hurt because of both his and my size. But it still to this day can hurt if we haven't done it in a while or if we do it in certain positions that go too deep (e.g. Missionary with legs up) I'm wondering is this normal or is something wrong with me? 
I can't really compare how big he is because I've never experienced anyone else so I don't really know.

Certain positions allow deeper penetration and the sore feeling is actually his dick hitting your cervix. It's perfectly normal. It's like an ongoing social media joke that girls "run away" when getting hit from the back sometimes because with a good arch, it's going straight for the cervix and you try to inch further away lol. Just adjust yourself or direct a change in position. That's what I do.

I have the same problem and when I found out I was pregnant I got told I had a retroverted uterus which can make sex in certain positions uncomfortable, so if it's a ongoing issue that bothers you maybe get checked out and see if there's any underlying causes :)

My hubby is on the larger side of the spectrum too, if we don't do foreplay or don't take our time then yes it does hurt. Go slow and use lube and it shouldn't hurt so much :)

There is such a thing as 'too big'. Every time my ex and I had sex it hurt like a b*tch because he was just too big for me. Try lubing it up and if that doesn't help you may as well take a trip to the gynae as well just to make sure you're all good down there (and if you haven't, get a Pap smear done - it's just a safe thing to do once you've had sex) x

Yes.. my husband and I are the same way. Just use plenty of lube and it will help. I do get sore a lot but I don't think there is much you can do about it except for lube and comfortable positions.
