spotting 5 months please input

I just woke up went pee and there was blood in the toilet and when I whipped a little bit of blood, I called my doctor and they said it's normal for a little spotting espically since I had a transvaginal two days ago, but I'm still freaking out I don't feel content at all I just want to know the baby is safe and I may go to er anyway I was told by the nurse that unless I fill a pad that I don't need to go to the er please give me your thoughts on this?! What would you do?
