Wedding Speech?

Er

I'm still far away from my wedding but I was dreaming about what I would say at the reception and this is what I came up with. Usually I am an amazing writer but this was a lot harder to put into words....Help? Or compliments? Lol.

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

That's what Proverbs 27:17 says, and I couldn't pick a more perfect sentiment for the way that our relationship works. Jonathan, you have taught me so much. You have challenged me to think and to see myself more clearly. Our relationship has been one where two seemingly different people have learned to work together. You have taught me what it means to be a partner. We are two equal people, yet we have learned how to sacrifice in love for each other. I look at our relationship and I see a beautiful dance. Or perhaps to continue with the swordplay analogy, a duel. Choosing to love and respect each other isn't easy. It takes some fancy footwork and we occasionally step on each other's toes. It's about give and take, and sometimes you get to advance while I retreat. But at the end of it all, we are equal and we can shake hands. It has been a privilege to be loved by you. An honour. You have taught me what it means to be a man of strength in adversity and I have taught you what it means to forgive. I wish I could find the right words to express how beautiful I think our love for each other is, but somehow I, the writer, am speechless. That's why I turn to Proverbs 27:17.... Because it says what I seem unable to. We're a match. A perfect fit. We make each other better by being in a relationship. And I hope we continue to challenge each other and beat the odds.
