Am i a bad mother?

My baby is about to be 8 MO and i switched her bottle to a zippy cup she honestly did very good she got the hang of it on the 2nd to 3rd day. As of now is what she uses. But everyone around me keeps telling me why did you do that she's still a baby. Or you don't have to do it until shes alomost a year. Blah blah I'm getting annoyed. I'm a FTM and I'm still learning everyday.

But is it true should i have waited?

I've been told to start introducing it once they get teeth and my wic office started pushing it at 6 months. My son will be 8 months on Sunday and I'm going to let him try his sippy cup today. 
And with all that being said, you're the mom and you do what you feel is best. I know you'll get 99 ways and opinions on how to raise your kid (oh easter was fun yesterday with my great aunt giving me baby advice from the 60's) but you know your baby best ❤

I never used a bottle with my baby so when I started feeding him some pumped milk (around 7 months) I went straight to a sippy cup. I figured why make him learn to use a bottle just to make him change again in a few months. He loves it and I see no reason not to. Also, he already has 2 teeth...

It's not bad. I breastfed and my son hated bottles, so if I ever wanted to give him other things I had to use a sippy cup. Some babies like it. If what's in the cup is still filling and working for them like what you could put in a bottle, who cares?

Your baby, no one else's, you know her the best not no one else, let them think what they like, your doing an amazing job, she's learning fast ! Ignore them xx

If she's adjusted quickly and well, I wouldn't worry about it. The only way I could see it negatively was if she wasn't getting it and was getting dehydrated. I think it's fine.

That doesn't make you a bad mom. My baby is a year old and has never had a bottle...he was breastfed and at 8 months I introduced the straw sippy cups...that's what he drinks out of. Don't worry about what others say...just do what you feel is best.

My son's 6 months & I give him one to play with sometimes. He loves it & can sometimes get some water at least to the top of the straw. They suggest weaning from the bottle at 1 anyways so I don't think 8 months is too soon to sometimes use one.

Don't listen to others. Everyone parents different and while there are some moms I know that I totally don't agree with how they parent I don't bother putting in my two sense in since I find it really rude when moms shame other moms
