Baby fat?

Ok so I just need opinions. I took my son to see his great grandma and his aunt and the only comments I got were comments such as he eats too much and hes fat. He is 3 months old his dad is 6'8" and Im 5'8 I dont think hes fat hes a little chunky but what baby isnt and hes also long.

Wooooow first of all he's clearly an average sized baby. It's ridiculous how often grandparents/other family members criticize our children and our parenting. Pretty sure if he was overweight your doc would've told you

Lord if they think he is fat then mine would be obese. My one year old was 13-15 pounds at 3 months. My pediatrician never ever complained. I now have a 28 pound chunky one year old.

That's crazy to call a baby fat! I always take note of the percentile of weight at the doctor visits so I know if he's average or high or low. That way it's easy to say, " actually he's in the 40th percentile for weight so he's a little smaller than average"

Your son looks perfectly healthy. As long as his pediatrician has no concerns about weight gain there is no need to worry.

People are stupid. I hope they realize that all babies are pudgy and they need to be! Think of all ththe growing (length) they do in their first year and all the developing mentally and physically they need something to burn off!! Also if your baby ever became sick he needs his fat stores to help him if he loses weight! When my little girl got sick at 6 months she lost a pound in a week!! That's a lot when she was only 15 to begin with!

People are idiots. If they say your baby is fat I'd say, "you're fat. Shut up." Hahaha

They'd really gasp at my 3 month old! He weighs 14 lbs! Dad's 5'11" and I'm 5'2" but Dad is bigger which makes sense! ☺
