Inducing my labor!?😳

Question

So I'm going to set up a date to be induced if he doesn't come by my due date which is in 5 days. I was thinking the 28th, 29th, 30th, or 1st, whichever is available. I'm just so nervous! Did you get induced? If you did how did it go for you? Are you glad you got induced? Do you think you were more calm and relaxed, because you got to actually get ready and prepare?

My cousin has 5 little girls. She was induced for all except the last one. She says that she wouldn't induce again unless there is a medically necessary reason to deliver the baby asap because her latest one helped her realize her body knew what to do, and since she was naturally ready, she said her pain was much less when she was not induced.

I have been induced 4 times and none of my labors lasted more than 12 hours. And I'm sure with this little guy I will be also. My body just doesn't go into labor on it's own.. it doesn't bother me. But if you don't want to go so overdue then go ahead

I wouldn't choose to be induced again unless absolutley medically necessary. It was a pretty awful experience and it's not recommended "just because".

I was induced at 38 weeks. The whole process took 34 hours. I had an assisted delivery due to baby's heart beat dropping. It wasn't the labour I hoped for but I had no choice. Good luck you haven't got long to wait 😊
