going back to work?

Question

Anyone going back to work after maternity leave or are you choosing to stay home with your child ? Anyone getting pregnant again or is already pregnant that causes you not to go back to work and have time off again?

Answer

I have three boys ages 5 and under. I went back to work after having each of them. I'm a career woman and the future I built is important. My husband works a full time career as well. My kids know why we work and why Mommys job is important. I never considered staying home.

Don't get pregnant again just to skip out on work. Where I live maternity leave is not paid. They save your job for 12 weeeks under Fmla. I'm lucky that where I work they cannot make you come back prior to 9 months postpartum, but they don't pay for you any of it. I don't know how anyone stays out that long. Most common is 6-8 weeks leave. I took more because we are fortunate.
