I have my first appointment tomorrow. 8 weeks! What can I expect? Ultrasound? Should I bring the boyfriend?

I had my first appointment at 8 weeks - a lot of paperwork, took my vital signs, bloodwork, and I had my first ultrasound! I also had a Pap smear because of my medical history, I don't think that's standard for everyone. I brought my husband in for the ultrasound but left him in the waiting room for the pap, haha he's brave but not that brave

Blood work. Urine sample. Vitals. Ultrasound. I'd bring boyfriend so he can see ultrasound. Appointments are pretty boring after 1St. Until week 20.

Yep annual pap, blood pressure, sonogram, pee in a cup and the list goes on. Paper work. Insurance information also will tell you how your insurance will cover the pregnancy, also sign consent form for treating during pregnancy and delivery. Also acknowledgement of possible death during or after delivery and that they did everything medically possible to prevent it. Also a PHI. Consent form for a episiotomy. My husband was white as a ghost when we did this it was so so funny. He's like are we signing her life away ? The nurse and i both said at the same time said yep pretty much. That's pregnancy for you.

Lots of paper work. A urine test, blood work and possibly a pelvic exam and Pap smear. I only got an ultrasound at my first appointment because I was already 11 weeks. Every doctor is different.

My first was at 11 weeks .. paperwork, pap and first ultrasound.. my husband goes to every single appointment with me. Even if I said he didn't have to he would go lol. So I have to schedule them when he can go

Call your dr office but mine doesn't do ultrasounds until 2nd appointment, at my dr the ultrasound needs to be specifically scheduled. But since you're 8 weeks they may do one. My first appt was health history, blood test, urine test.

Paperwork! Questions and blood drawn lol probably no ultrasound till 10-12 weeks.
