How do you build a good co parent relationship?

How can you co parent on good terms if every attempt at being friends end horrible. If you don't want to go to court and would like to handle it like adults?

It definetely takes time to build a relationship like that! My oldest sons father & I have a great co parenting relationship. (Son is 8.) but it did take a very long time to get there! Trust, we've had our share of bad moments, said our hurtful things to each other, went to court, etc but as our son gets older we've seen how it effects him. He loves to see us all together, joking etc. You will get there, it just takes good communication and understanding! Best of luck to you

Really it takes time for both of you to mature to that point. And even if he doesn't he has to understand that everything should be in the interest of the baby. Don't lead him on or give him false hopes of reconciliation2. Even if it has to be strict to start. Meet me here, baby needs this, drop baby off here at this time. Eventually you guys will move on and it will be easier. A lot of the time they haven't fully grown up and depending on how you guys left the relationship it can be harder. Just make sure to keep things about baby. And everything else will come. I also try to be lenient with how often he gets the kid and try not to nag he's late or last minute you know..as long as he is doing what he is supposed to things will work out

Following! I'm in the same boat. I'd love to be civilized with my son's father & coparent & get along. Buttttt he's always making everything about being a family. & it's his way or no way half the time 😒

It takes time honestly ! You have to seriously be over what happened between you two and just make sure it's about the baby , that's pretty much all I can say .
