Is AF early or is it implantation?

aF isn't due till Sunday (maybe Saturday...) but today I have had not so much spotting as just watery redness when checking my cervix and cm and once on TP when wiping... it's not right on the edge but a little on the inside, thought I was wiping some extra cm off but it. Was the watery red. If all the moisture is like that I'd call it light but definitely not dry and not so much as to be a medium amount of it was normal cm. Nothing physical on a liner all day either which I used just in case it's AF. I took a digital First Response yesterday which was really at least a day too early but probably more like two so not surprisingly it was negative and the cheapo stick I used today was at first looking like it might be two but then right before the time was up the second one disappeared on it. Now I'm just confused and kinda bummed. My SO said that he doesn't want me to be sad or disappointed every month its negative, tho I have no idea why he isn't let alone why I shouldn't be, so I only have you guys here and possibly some cycle buddies if I find them lol.
